My Approach

Finding someone to talk to in times of stress is confusing and my aim here is to offer clarity and re-assurance about approaching me for counselling. It is a courageous step to take but many people discover that talking to a counsellor can really help when they are struggling to adjust and cope with changes in their lives.

I offer person-centred counselling in Kingston upon Thames and also on Skype and Zoom. My approach is flexible and based on listening to the needs of my clients. Therapy may be long or short term, as often just a few sessions can facilitate change and enable movement from a stuck position. Many of my longer term clients take a break and come back when they feel the need.

Most of my experience is in the areas of grief and loss and I have a particular interest in difference of all kinds and the individual search for creative living. My background in the arts, having trained as a textile artist, has given me a strong belief in the power of the creative process in enabling each and every one of us to achieve our potential.
